I saw her yesterday.
It was a hot afternoon then. It must have been tough for a six or seven year old girl. And yet.

Sad to say there are thousands more all around the country like her. But still, they go on — sweet little heroes despite their terrible circumstances.

My hope is that whenever we see stuff like this, no matter how often, our hearts may not be calloused or numb as to forget that this is NOT right. And that while we may not be able to do something to address the problem now, let us not allow ourselves to become indifferent. Let’s hang on and deal with the pain (or guilt) of seeing something wrong and not being able to change it. I think allowing the pain to crush our hearts is the least we can do for them. Indifference is just way too cruel! Don’t give up hope!
